- Personal Statement
Abimbola is currently a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, University of Lagos, Nigeria. His research’s focus is at the intersection of Differential Geometry, Partial Differential equations and Functional Analysis. He bagged a PhD in Pure Mathematics from University of Sussex, Brighton, United Kingdom. He has published many fascinating research papers in this field which is evidently shown on his MathsciNet, Scopus, Google Scholar and ResearchGate pages. His outstanding research work has earned him some collaborative research support from international grant award bodies such as European Mathematical Society (EMS)-Simons Fellowship (2022), International Mathematical Union (IMU)-Simons African Fellowship (2022) tenable at Ghent Analysis and PDE Center, University of Ghent, Belgium and CIMPA-ICTP Research in pairs fellowship (2023) hosted by IMAG, Universidad de Granada, Spain. Abimbola, as a co-organizer, has been instrumental in attracting grants from IMU and local bodies to host International Workshop\Conference on Fractional Calculus at University of Lagos between 21 – 27 November, 2022. This workshop\conference gathered PhD students, PostDoc, early careers and experts across West African subregion. Recently, He is interested in applications of differential equations (partial and fractional) to epidemiology.
