 Personal Statement

Dr. Abayomi is currently a senior lecturer in the Chemistry Department, His research interests include the study of nutrients, especially phosphorus and nitrogen species, in environmental media and the use of green chemistry in reducing and eliminating waste. Other areas of his research include waste valourisation and decarbonization, recalcitrant pollutants management, as well as microplastics research. Dr. Abayomi has won various grants to support his research, including Developing World Scholarship by the Analytical Chemistry Trust Fund of the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK (2009); University of Lagos Central Research grant (2013), Lagos State Research Development grant (2014) and TETFund National Research Fund (2019 and 2022).
