Personal Statement

 I am a mid-career researcher, ornithologist, ecologist and conservation biologist driven by a vision of avifauna thriving across both natural and humanmodified landscapes, fueled by robust scientific insights, community empowerment, and sound policy. My research focuses on the ecology, migration, and conservation of African birds. I facilitate conservation training workshops and provide mentorship for students and citizen scientists. My work drives holistic sustainable development through SDGs 15 (Life on Land), 11 (Sustainable Cities), 13 (Climate Action), 4 (Quality Education), and 17 (Partnerships).
