Personal Statement
I am a mid-career Facilitator, Instructors, and research Scientist with bias in applications of insect science (Entomology) to solving global challenges and provision opportunities to a wide array of human endeavours. Some of these applications include but not limited to food security, public/veterinary health, ecosystem viability and sustainability. My research areas include, but are not limited to sustainable management of nuisance insects, crops/stored product pests, insect vectors of tropical diseases, use of insects as models ecosystem stress and/or recovery, as well as breeding of insects for human consumption and as livestock feed supplements. It is my aspiration to continue to provide home-grown sustainable solutions and innovations to Nigerian challenges, while contributing to reducing global impact of food security, healthcare, and ecosystem stress for mankind and wildlife. My ultimate goal is to communicate these modest contributions to budding research scientists, providing platforms for them to becoming better individuals, and ultimately making their immediate environments, Nigeria, Africa and the world at large better than it is.
