Personal Statement

I am a motivated, dedicated and experienced Physics lecturer and research scientist who have taught several students across all undergraduate (foundation to final) and postgraduate levels. In a classroom setting, my goal is to provide students with relevant and practical knowledge that they can draw upon as their own.  I have about 20 years progressive experience in the expansion, oversight and development of academic programmes, policies and initiatives to enhance student success and achievement. I have senior leadership experience in the course of teaching, mentoring and supervision of numerous students at Yaba College of Technology and University of Lagos. I have profound and in-depth expertise in the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of challenging and inspiring curricula. I have supervised 1 HND, over 50 B.Sc., 8 M.Sc., and 1 Ph.D. graduates. I have about 30 publications in both national and foreign journals. My areas of research cut across groundwater and mining investigation, geotechnical and environmental studies, and rock properties Physics. I am a member of the Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP), Nigerian Mining and Geoscience Society (NMGS) and Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG).
