PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am presently a lecturer in the Department of Statistics, University of Lagos, Nigeria and a former Sub-dean, Faculty of Science and HOD of the Departments of Mathematics and Statistics. My area of research is on scheduling on parallel, uniform, unrelated and flow shop machines, Mathematical Statistics and DataScience. I have several articles and reviews published in my area of research. I have being working on scheduling to minimize the (weighted) number of early and tardy jobs on these machines. This problem is known to be NP Complete and finding an optimal solution is very unlikely hence the need to solve them through other means. Majorly, I developed heuristics and meta-heuristics for solving my problems. I have some of my publications stated below.

Adamu is a Fellow of the Institute of Operational Research and Management Science of Nigeria (IORMS). He is member to several academic organizations like Science Association of Nigeria (SAN), Nigeria Mathematical Society (NMS), INFORMS society on Applied Probability, INFORMS society on Optimization, Forum on Education(INFORM-ED), Nigeria Statistical Association (NSA), and Institute of Operational Research and Management Science of Nigeria (IORMS). He has served as editors to some Journals. He has also served as member, University of Lagos Senate, The Sub Dean, Faculty of Science, University of Lagos and several others opportunities. He has been HOD of the Departments of Mathematics and Statistics. He is presently the coordinator of the Optimization Group in the Department.
