- Personal Statement
I started my career as an academic and a researcher dated back to 1984. I am a specialist in numerical methods and computational mathematics. I have over the years developed several numerical schemes for the solution of ordinary differential equations involving both initial and boundary value problems. Currently my research group is focusing on application of numerical methods to health and technological problems. In the course of my career as an academic, I have mentored and still mentoring many postgraduate students and have supervised over seven doctoral students of which some of them are now professor and top academics and researchers. I have passion for research and that also led to my appointment as the current Director of the Research Management Office of the University of Lagos.
