Personal Statement

Ayolabi is a Professor of Medical Microbiology / Virology. My research is centered on epidemiology of viral infectious diseases: viral gastroenterology and pediatric infections / food borne viral infections, arboviral infections etc. to provide better preventive and control measures to combat these menace plaguing the world.  I teach both undergraduate and postgraduate students in medical virology and immunology. I had supervised over 200 B.Sc. projects, 20 M.Sc. dissertations, 3 Ph.D. theses and currently supervising 3PhD students. I have published over 45 scientific papers, and I belong to many professional bodies such as NSM, ASM, AMI, ASV, OWSD, SAN, NISEB, ESPID etc. I am a scholar and have won several grants both locally and internationally.
