Welcome

I would like to express my pride of belonging to the Computer Sciences Department, Faculty of Science, University of Lagos. It is taught in most universities, hence the need to meet universal standards to master the science of computing. Consequently, Computer Science studies has become an urgent requirement to cope with globalization and the present world order and defined space that Information and Communication Technology has established. In fact, the Computer Sciences Department is considered as one of the leading departments not only at the level of the Faculty of science of The University of Lagos but also at the level of the University itself. It offers Computer Sciences Bachelor program and teaches students according to an academic plan and wide-ranging curriculum in the field and sphere of computational sciences which combines comprehensiveness and depth in dealing with knowledge in all of the computer science skills in order to hone the skills of student. The Computer Sciences department has a long-term vision and big ambitions inspired from the aspirations of the
University of Lagos to be in the top of the most important academic institutions in the world. From this standpoint, the Department of Computer Sciences in the Faculty of Science of University of Lagos is doing its best to serve this programme in terms of instruction, research and innovation. Since its foundation, the department saves no effort in developing its programme that would fit into the needs of the society and the developments of science and knowledge in the world. We are confident that we are going ahead in adopting a learning environment capable of preparing and qualifying graduates that are able to face challenges innovatively and creatively.
