My work focuses on assessing the bioaccumulation of heavy metals and evaluating ecological and dietary health risks associated with contaminated coastal environments. Driven by a vision of clean water systems and resilient communities, I employ interdisciplinary approaches, combining toxicology, zoology, and environmental chemistry to provide evidence-based solutions to pressing ecological challenges. I am especially passionate about using my research to inform policy, guide conservation efforts, and build capacity among young scientists and local communities.
